Newcastle travel LIVE: Updates as 20 minute delays hit Metro services

Early morning Metro commuters have been hit with delays today due to a number of failed trains. There are currently at least 20 minute delays due to the failures on the green and yellow lines.

Tyne and Wear Metro said: “We are working to resolve this now and will resume the timetable as soon as possible. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
