World Travel Holdings names Kerry Gallagher as business development director

US-based cruise retail specialist World Travel Holdings UK has appointed Kerry Gallagher as director of business development for the UK.

Gallagher was previously managing director of Silver Travel Advisor, having originally joined the over-50s holiday specialist as marketing director. Prior to that, she spent eight years at dnata UK as marketing director for Gold Medal and Travel 2.

In her new role at World Travel Holdings, Gallagher will be responsible for scoping new opportunities across all three brands that the subsidiary operates in the UK market: Cruise 118, Six Star Cruises and River Voyages.com.

Penny Worthy has succeeded Gallagher as managing director at Silver Travel Advisor. Worthy was previously the company’s commercial and partnerships director, and prior to that worked as its business development director.

World Travel Holdings UK managing director Lisa McAuley, who also owns Silver Travel Advisor, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Kerry to the WTH UK team and wish her and Penny success in their new roles.”
