Travel tips from mums to make your family holiday a success

“Too often, all the thought has gone into getting my son ready, packing the endless amount of clothes, nappies, toys, Calpol, suncreams and sun hats that he has needed.

“This has meant my holiday packing becomes a last-minute and extremely rushed after-thought. A few times, I’ve arrived at our destination woefully unprepared, missing a few key items, like my favourite summer dress.

“So last year, I packed for myself first. Instead of a chaotic 9pm panic, I spent time choosing what I wanted to wear, sorted out a great read and even downloaded a couple of podcasts. I still had time for my son, but it also felt like more of a holiday for me, too.”
