TfL issues warning as Tube strikes set to disrupt London travel

Tube passengers are being warned to expect travel disruption.

Strike action by RMT Tube drivers will take place on Tuesday, June 2 and Thursday, June 4, affecting the entire London Underground network.

Transport for London says most Tube lines will operate some level of service, but disruption is expected.

Trains will start later than usual and finish earlier on both strike dates.

Some disruption is expected during the early mornings on Wednesday, June 3 and Friday, June 5, as normal operations are restored.

TfL recommends travellers plan ahead, allow extra time and check routes before starting their journeys.

While buses, the DLR, trams, London Overground and Elizabeth line will run as normal, these services are expected to be much busier than usual.

People are encouraged to walk or cycle shorter journeys where possible.

TfL’s website offers information on cycling, Santander Cycle Hire and walking routes within Zone 1.
