Swindon Borough Council is reminding families to apply for home to school travel assistance for September 2026, ahead of the deadline on 26th June.

Families with eligible children, including those moving to secondary school, turning eight before 1st September, in post-16 education, receiving a Personal Travel Budget, changing schools, or moving home, are required to submit a new application.

The policy applies to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), while all mainstream students must reapply for travel assistance annually.

Late applications will be processed but could result in potential delays in arranging transport.

The council emphasises the importance of submitting applications by the deadline to ensure transport arrangements are in place for the start of the school term in September.
