Opening date revealed for new Maidenhead High Street Hays Travel branch

A travel agency has announced the opening date for its new branch at the site of the former Laurents Bakehouse in Maidenhead High Street.

Posters previously went up at the site of the former Bakehouse at 33 High Street stating that a Hays Travel branch would be ‘opening soon’.

A spokesperson for the independent travel agency said last month that refit work had started at the site.

The agency has now confirmed that the new branch is set to open its doors on Tuesday, May 5.

Hays Travel has been operating a branch in the Nicholsons Centre since taking over the former Thomas Cook unit in 2019.

But the Nicholsons Centre is set to close in June ahead of demolition and a major re-development by Areli.

Management agents KLM Asset Partners have informed Nicholsons Centre tenants that the shopping centre will close on Tuesday, June 9.
