Mindtrip Launches Sabre’s Agentic Flight Booking With In-Chat Checkout
The travel industry now has a live test of whether travelers will search, choose, and pay for flights without leaving a chat, with Mindtrip announcing the launch of agentic travel booking powered by Sabre on Wednesday.
Handling the entire transaction — including checkout — without linking off to a webpage is the point behind the partnership: Mindtrip keeps the traveler in the conversational flow, Sabre supplies live inventory and booking capabilities, and PayPal handles the payment.
“Travel is shifting from search to AI-assisted decision-making,” said Mindtrip CEO Andy Moss in a statement, “and the platforms that win will be the ones that understand the traveler and deliver the best outcome at the right moment.”
Sabre and Mindtrip executives previously told Skift that flights are just the beginning, with hotel bookings coming later.
