Maxfields Travel ‘running as normal’ despite fire – Bus & Coach Buyer

South Yorkshire-based Maxfields Travel says its trips are running as normal despite a coach fire at its depot earlier today.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue sent six fire crews earlier today to the depot in Aughton, Rotherham, to attend the fire, involving three coaches and nearby buildings.

The fire and rescue service advised nearby residents keep windows and doors closed and avoid the area if possible.

While assuring its services are running as normal, the operator advised on its Facebook page for customers not to ring its travel shop.
