I spent every penny on rent – so I sold everything to travel the world for £30 a day

A couple sold nearly all their possessions to live full-time in a campervan and travel the world for as little as £30 a day. Kath Cross, 49, and Stuart Hall, 48, have driven more than 25,000 miles across Europe and the Sahara Desert in their converted Mercedes Sprinter after ditching traditional life and moving into the van four years ago. The pair, who document their adventures as Vanavigation, say their monthly living costs of around £900 to £1,200 are cheaper than Kath’s former rent in Cardiff and have given them the freedom to “leave the rat race behind”.
