Bus operator offering discounted travel on Clean Air Day next week

To mark Clean Air Day on Thursday, June 18, the company is offering 10 per cent off Dayrider tickets in a bid to reduce car journeys and promote environmentally friendly travel.

Nikki Honer, head of communications at Morebus, said: “Morebus is committed to helping improve the quality of air we breathe in our area, and we have been working on this in a number of ways – including investing in a new fleet of greener vehicles.

“We hope our Clean Air Day offer encourages more people to take the bus.

“If we can convert some car users, it could make a huge difference to the local environment in the long term, as well as helping ease the region’s congestion issues.”

The offer is available to anyone who chooses to travel by bus instead of car on Clean Air Day.

Discounted tickets can be purchased through the Morebus app using the code CAD2026.

The code is only valid on Thursday, June 18.
