Toll road offers free travel to support riders raising funds in memory of Hairy Biker Dave Myers – Lichfield Live®

AN event celebrating the life of the late Hairy Biker Dave Myers is being supported by the M6 Toll.

A convoy of riders taking part in Dave Day – The Last Ride Home on 20th June will be able to travel for free on the road.

The group will travel through the Midlands to Dave’s hometown of Barrow-in-Furness as part of efforts to raise £150,000 for charity in his memory.

Maxine Bate, from M6 Toll, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to support Dave Day – The Last Ride Home and help riders get to Barrow safely and smoothly.

“It’s a fantastic cause, and we’re delighted to provide an alternative reliable route making the journey through the region easier for all involved.”

Lead rider Jason Woodcock said:

“The support from M6 Toll is incredibly generous and will make a real difference to the safety and experience of everyone taking part.

“This final ride is about remembering Dave and others lost to cancer, and coming together one last time for something truly special.”
