Stansted Airport passengers warned of travel disruption this weekend

Due to planned engineering works, there will be no direct train service to and from London Liverpool Street between Saturday and Sunday.

Due to a limited rail replacement service, Stansted Express passengers will be advised to travel via Cambridge and King’s Cross.

Train tickets will be valid to travel on this alternative route during this time only.

A service alteration notice on the Greater Anglia website said: “Buses replace trains between Bishops Stortford and Waltham Cross as well as between Hertford East and Waltham Cross.

“Trains will continue to operate between Cambridge/Stansted Airport and Bishops Stortford as well as Waltham Cross and London (half-hourly service only)

“Due to limited rail replacement, Stansted Express passengers are recommended to travel via Cambridge and King’s Cross (ticket acceptance is in place).”
